Nantong Narl Double-layer Co-extruded TPU Film Production Line Technology Renovation Project Environmental Impact Assessment Acceptance
On March 26, 2025, according to a news release on the official website of the Tongzhou District People's Government of Nantong City, the Nantong High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee accepted the environmental impact assessment documents for the "Double-Layer Co-extrusion TPU Film Production Line Technical Transformation Project" of Nantong Nair Material Technology Co., Ltd.
Origin and Overview of the Project
Nantong Nar Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Shanghai Nar Industrial Co., Ltd., established in February 2020. Shanghai Nar Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded in 2005 and has now grown into a leading enterprise in the digital printing industry, integrating R&D, production, and sales. Nantong Nar Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was established on February 26, 2020, and is mainly engaged in the production of TPU automotive protective films. TPU, the Chinese name for thermoplastic polyurethane, is a high-end application of thermoplastic polyurethane material. The automotive protective film is a high-transparent film product with a thickness of 6-12 mil, produced through a special extrusion process, and possesses strong stretchability and memory properties. This technology represents one of the most advanced applications of thermoplastic polyurethane materials.
TPU paint protection film has rapidly emerged in the automotive industry in recent years, gaining market popularity due to its exceptional self-healing properties, high transparency, and scratch resistance. This paint protection film effectively prevents vehicle paint from damage caused by UV rays, small stone impacts, and minor scratches, maintaining the vehicle's appearance in long-lasting brilliance. With increasing consumer awareness of vehicle maintenance and growing demand for personalization, the application of TPU paint protection film has expanded from luxury cars to a broader automotive market, driving further growth in the TPU protection film market.
To meet market demand, the company has invested 24.106 million yuan to rent the existing Workshop Six (1), first floor (with an area of 3010m2) of Nantong Baina Digital New Material Co., Ltd., and purchased TPU film co-extrusion production lines and related supporting equipment to construct a technical renovation project for a double-layer co-extruded TPU film production line. After the completion of this project, it will have an additional annual production capacity of 4085 tons of TPU functional film. The product quality standard of this project will comply with "Automotive Paint Protection Film" (QC/T1171-2022).
