Li Xiang stated that the team made adjustments to the i8's configuration and pricing system in a short period mainly by listening to a large amount of real user feedback. According to information released by the company, over 98% of orders are concentrated on the Max and Ultra versions, and users generally reported that the selection process among the three versions was relatively complex. Additionally, some configurations such as the refrigerator and rear screen are fixed in specific versions and cannot be flexibly selected as options.

Based on user feedback, Li Auto announced an adjustment plan on August 5th: the original Max version will be standardized as the configuration for all models, and the price will be adjusted to 339,800 RMB (a decrease of 10,000 RMB compared to the original Max version). At the same time, the company will offer a complimentary platinum sound system worth 10,000 RMB and make the rear cabin entertainment screen package available as an optional add-on priced at 10,000 RMB.

Users who originally planned to choose the Ultra version now only need to pay 349,800 yuan to get all the configurations of the original Ultra version; while users who pre-ordered the original Pro version can choose to cancel their order or upgrade to the new unified configuration version.

As the inaugural model of Li Auto's i series and its first product entering the pure electric market, the Li Auto i8 is positioned as a "smaller version of the MEGA Home," integrating yacht design concepts and emphasizing a balance of space, off-road capability, and driving experience. According to company plans, the second pure electric SUV aimed at the five-seat family market, the i6, is expected to be launched in September this year.
