Investment of 390 million yuan! Huaheng Biotechnology is building an AI-driven biological manufacturing R&D and pilot demonstration project in Hefei.
On March 24, the Hefei Ecological Environment Bureau announced the construction project of the AI-driven biotechnology research and pilot demonstration base of Anhui Huaheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
In recent years, with the continuous development of synthetic biology technology, flexible biological manufacturing combined with automation and information technology has been implemented to achieve efficient production. To verify the feasibility of laboratory research results in large-scale production and to provide a basis and optimal process for the industrialization of the company's products, Anhui Huaheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. plans to invest in the construction of the "AI-Driven Biological Manufacturing R&D and Pilot Demonstration Base Project."
The project site is located at the northeast corner of Shuangfeng Road and Yingzhou Road in Changfeng County, Hefei City, covering an area of 142 acres. The construction is planned to be carried out in three phases, with the first phase planned to invest 39 million yuan, and the project building area is approximately 30,000 square meters (subject to actual construction). The main construction content is to establish an AI-driven biotechnology manufacturing innovation research and development platform and a pilot demonstration base, including experimental facilities and public auxiliary facilities. Upon completion of the overall project, it will achieve a multifunctional base that integrates research and development, testing, pilot production, inspection, and services, featuring flexible, modular, and block-based technological innovation and product development in artificial intelligence biotechnology manufacturing. It is expected to form an annual comprehensive pilot scale of 5,500 tons (including products such as L-serine, L-citrulline, L-cysteine, L-histidine, D-panthenol, etc.).
