Hunan Petrochemical: Successful Start-Up on First Attempt
On August 25th, the Refining Department (Area 2) of Hunan Petrochemical officially initiated the process of resuming production after successfully completing maintenance work. At 19:06 on the same day, the unit achieved a successful first oil injection startup. By August 28th, the unit produced qualified propylene. Currently, the refining unit processes nearly 2,300 tons of hydrogenated heavy oil per day, and all systems are in the optimization and adjustment phase, operating safely and smoothly.

The maintenance involved three units: refining, sulfuric acid, and MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether), with a total of 550 maintenance projects. On the morning of August 25, with the removal of the large blind plate, the comprehensive resumption of production of the refining unit began.
