On March 27th, at the 20th Automotive Lighting Industry Development Technology Forum, Dr. Han Meng, Senior Director of BD at Guangfeng Technology's Automotive Division, delivered a keynote speech on "Next-Generation Automotive Lighting and Display Technology," injecting new vitality and thought into the development of the entire industry.

In his speech, Dr. Han Meng elaborated on the multiple advantages of laser technology. This technology not only features high brightness, small size, and low power consumption, but also provides a display effect that is close to natural light, effectively reducing viewing fatigue and offering users a healthier and more comfortable visual experience. Additionally, the flexibility of laser technology in space utilization allows it to adapt to various application scenarios.

Guangfeng Technology has applied laser technology to automotive headlights. Compared to traditional LED headlights, Guangfeng Technology's intelligent laser headlights integrate multiple functions such as long-range ADB headlights, color temperature adjustable headlights, fog lights, ground information display, and automotive cinema, meeting diverse needs in automotive lighting, display, safety, and entertainment.

The laser headlights can adjust the color temperature to adapt to different driving environments. For example, in foggy weather, when the color temperature of the car headlights is normally around 5000K, the driver sees a white foggy scene and cannot see the road conditions ahead; however, by lowering the color temperature and changing the white light to yellow light, it has very good penetration, allowing the driver to see farther and more clearly, greatly ensuring driving safety.

In addition, Dr. Han Meng shared his thoughts on the future of cockpit displays at Light Peak Technology. He believes that future cockpit displays will not be limited to traditional screens but will place greater emphasis on the convenience and intelligence of human-machine information interaction. Software-defined digital displays will become a development trend, and laser display technology, with its high performance and flexibility, will play a key role in this transformation.

With the advantages of ALPD core technology such as compact size, high brightness, and seamless display, Appotronics Technology has achieved rapid breakthroughs in the automotive business over the past two years. It has launched the industry's first automotive-grade giant screen and the first full-color laser projection lamp, setting benchmark solutions and leading industry development. In December 2023, the launch of the WENJIE M9 ignited the market, with its 32-inch automotive-grade giant screen becoming the focal point. This first-of-its-kind phenomenon-level application of the automotive-grade giant screen, provided by Appotronics Technology, not only has passed shock resistance and eye protection certifications but also boasts a lifespan of 20,000 hours and 100% DCI color gamut, redefining the "third space" within the car.

The newly launched 2025 Wuling M9, once again in collaboration with Appotronics, has introduced the upgraded Smart Laser Projection Giant Screen System 2.0, providing consumers with a brighter and clearer visual experience, further optimizing interactivity and entertainment, and supporting OTA upgrades for older models. According to public information, this Smart Laser Projection Giant Screen System 2.0 consists of a 32-inch projection screen and a hidden projection light source, featuring multiple upgraded highlights. Its resolution has been increased by 200%, brightness by 63%, and it is equipped with a new smart picture quality enhancement technology that makes old movie images clearer and smoother. Additionally, the projection giant screen can interact with the vehicle's ambient lighting system, enhancing the atmosphere inside the car.
