According to the public announcement, the project is located in the Shenzhen-Shanwei Industrial Transfer Cooperation Park in Meilong Town, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. The main construction contents include 9 factory buildings, 2 comprehensive buildings, 2 dormitory buildings, 1 integrated station building, 1 fire station, 6 warehouses, 1 wastewater treatment station, and an emergency accident pool, among other structures. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 50.88 million power batteries, with a total capacity of 15 GWh.

It is understood that Shanwei Fudi Battery Co., Ltd. is the main entity responsible for the construction of the project. The company was established on June 14, 2019, and is wholly owned by BYD Energy Storage Co., Ltd., focusing on battery manufacturing and related businesses. Its predecessor was Shanwei Zhongdi Lithium Battery Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. The headquarters is located in Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, and completed the address change from Lufeng County to Haifeng County on December 20, 2024.

The investment and construction of this project will further accelerate and strengthen BYD's industrial layout in the Shenshan area, enhancing its regional supporting capabilities. At the same time, this is also an important move for BYD in Guangdong and for its international exports.
