Geely Responds to Basic Data Plan Changes, Pledges No Change to User Rights
On August 20th, in response to some users' inquiries about the "basic data" and other benefits of its models, Geely Auto released a statement today. The original text is attached below by IT Home:
Recently, we have noticed that some users have questions regarding the "basic data" and other rights associated with certain models under Geely Automobile. To provide clear information, we hereby explain the questions that people are concerned about as follows:
1. About the Continuity of User Rights
Geely Automobile's intelligent connected vehicles launched at different times have different user rights schemes due to differences in market positioning, price, and configuration. However, it should be made clear that the rights promised to users at the time of sale, including E-CALL, will always remain consistent and will not be changed or downgraded.
2. Specific Content Regarding "Basic Traffic"
Previously, there were inconsistencies in the information conveyed regarding the benefits included in the "Basic Data" package. To eliminate user misunderstandings and confusion, it is now uniformly stated that the "Basic Data" benefits generally include features such as vehicle remote control, online navigation, voice assistant, weather inquiry, OTA upgrades, and more. For the specific functions included, please refer to the actual configuration of the model you have purchased.
The above benefits cover all models under the Geely China Star and Geely Galaxy brands. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the official customer service hotline at 400-886-9888 for consultation.
Thank you sincerely to over 18 million users worldwide for their trust and support. We will always adhere to the "user first" philosophy, continuously striving to create a smarter, greener, and more convenient travel experience for every user.
Hereby declare.
