GAC and Didi's first Robotaxi spy photos exposed, expected to be produced and delivered within the year.
IT Home reported on March 28 that blogger @Auto志 shared two photos of a camouflaged vehicle yesterday, which is believed to be the first Robotaxi from the collaboration between GAC and Didi. The roof, front fender, and rear of the vehicle are equipped with multiple sensors, expected to provide advanced intelligent driving features. Due to the heavy camouflage, more vehicle details cannot be seen at this time.
IT Home noted that GAC Aion announced in May 2023 the establishment of a joint venture with Didi to produce its first L4 autonomous electric vehicle in 2025, which will be integrated into Didi's ride-sharing network, claiming to achieve all-weather, large-scale mixed dispatching and accelerate the commercialization of L4.
In April of last year, GAC Aion and Didi Autonomous Driving's joint venture Guangzhou Andi Technology Co., Ltd. were granted a business license. The two parties will leverage GAC Aion's redundant vehicle platform and electrical architecture, integrating Didi Autonomous Driving's unique L4 autonomous driving technology solution focused on ride-hailing services, to collaboratively develop mass-produced L4 driverless vehicles.
