The company plans to launch a series of advanced TPU solutions targeting applications in cable manufacturing, adhesive technology, and high-performance films.
One of the key materials highlighted is the newly developed Estane ZHF 87HP8, designed for fine cable applications. Its formulation offers enhanced mechanical strength and flame retardant properties. According to the company, this material complies with international standards such as UL 1581, IEC 50363, and EC 60332-1-2, making it suitable for manufacturers with strict regulatory requirements.
In the adhesive field, Lubrizol is introducing products specially tailored for hot melt and extrusion applications in its portfolio. The company states that these new TPUs—Pearlbond ECO 590 HMS, Pearlbond 360, and Pearlbond 920L—are meticulously designed for flexible use in a range of end products, from seam tapes and bonding nets to furniture edge bands, where reliable performance and processing versatility are key.
The company will also expand the use of one of its existing TPU grades, Estane D91T86, which was initially developed for molded parts, into new areas such as high-performance films and extruded components. The specialty chemicals company stated that this material offers excellent UV resistance and weatherability, surpassing standard aromatic TPU options.
Lubrizol showcases its full range of new TPU products at booth 6E29.
