FAW-Volkswagen Changes 'God of Wealth': This Foreigner's Chinese Name Sounds Rich

FAW-Volkswagen appointed the first (financial) deputy general manager, known as the "God of Wealth." They gave Steffen Schudt-Pialat a "very wealthy" Chinese name—Song Yulang.

Starting from September 1st, Song Yulang, who will succeed Feng Yan (Ulrich Feuereis) as the First Deputy General Manager (Finance) of FAW-Volkswagen, will continue to enhance FAW-Volkswagen's financial management level, laying a solid foundation for the company's transformational development.

Song Yulang has served for a long time at Volkswagen Group, holding positions in subsidiaries in Germany, Portugal, France, and Mexico, and has accumulated extensive experience in finance and cross-border management. In the future, he will leverage his advantages in cross-regional financial control to help FAW-Volkswagen enhance its financial strategy execution and ensure the company's stable operations during its transformation.

Feng Yan returned to Wolfsburg, Germany on September 1st to assume the position of Head of Financial Controlling at Volkswagen Group. Feng Yan's work performance at FAW-Volkswagen was highly recognized by shareholders from both China and Germany. During his tenure, the company's financial system's robustness and resilience were significantly enhanced. FAW-Volkswagen defended its position in the fuel vehicle market, introduced multiple new products, and established an independent development path for Jetta, laying a solid foundation for the company's transformation and sustainable development.
