Erema: Making Plastic Recycling As Innovative and Efficient As Possible With Over 40 Years of Long-Term Success

New Observations on Waste Plastics 2025-08-29 11:41:04

EREMA was established in 1983 in Ansfelden, Austria. Its solutions cover applications ranging from food-grade rPET bottle-to-fiber, bottle-to-sheet, and bottle-to-bottle online and offline processes, to post-consumer (PCR) film recycling granulation, food-grade recycling and deodorization of post-consumer polyolefins, plastic packaging ink removal, chemical recycling extrusion systems, as well as industrial waste plastic recycling such as biaxially oriented films. To date, the EREMA Group has over 9,000 complete systems installed worldwide, with an annual recycling capacity exceeding 28 million tons.

Since entering the Chinese market in the mid-1990s, EREMA has successfully sold over 500 complete systems in mainland China. In 2001, EREMA established its office in Shanghai, China. In 2015, EREMA expanded its investment by establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary responsible for sales, service, and spare parts in the mainland region. The subsidiary has a warehouse for commonly used spare parts and a local technical team trained by the headquarters with independent working capabilities. Additionally, foreign engineers are stationed domestically to support and cooperate in service.
