Tillmanns has a solid business foundation in the domestic Italian market, covering multiple key sectors including composite material processing, coatings, construction, food and nutrition, as well as water treatment. In the plastics and rubber industry, the company supplies two core product categories: firstly, pigments and additives for the production of plastics and masterbatch composites; secondly, composites made from virgin and recycled polymers. Additionally, Tillmanns not only has a logistics center in Milan but also operates a dedicated in-house research and development laboratory. In 2024, the company’s sales reached 143 million euros, with approximately 80 employees.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. Marcus Jordan, CEO of IMCD, stated that this acquisition is an important step for IMCD to further strengthen its presence in the Italian market.
As a distributor in the Netherlands, IMCD had approximately 5,100 employees in 2024, with revenues reaching 4.73 billion euros. The group completed a total of 12 acquisitions throughout the year 2024.
