Dongfeng Automotive Personnel Adjustment: Zhou Feng Promoted to Vice President
On July 22, Dongfeng Motor Corporation (referred to as "Dongfeng Company") announced the decision of the Central Organization Department: Zhou Feng has been appointed as Deputy General Manager and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Company. The relevant position appointment will be processed according to applicable legal regulations. This personnel change comes at a crucial time for Dongfeng's deepening transition to new energy, drawing widespread attention from the industry.
As a technology-oriented manager rooted in the Dongfeng system for the long term, Zhou Feng has held positions such as Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department and General Manager of the Technology Development Department since March 2021, deeply participating in the group's new energy strategic layout. During his tenure at Dongfeng Nissan, he led the production line restructuring of the Zhengzhou, Dalian, and Xiangyang bases, promoted the mass production of the Nissan e-POWER technology platform, and facilitated the deep integration of the Dalian new energy manufacturing base with the local industrial chain.

Currently, Dongfeng Group is accelerating its new energy transition strategy, with brands such as Voyah, Nano, and Aeolus forming a multi-category new energy matrix. Among them, the Voyah FREE+ achieved over 10,000 orders within 15 minutes of its launch.
Zhou Feng’s new appointment is regarded as an important move by the group to strengthen technological synergy and platform sharing. His strategic execution experience is expected to drive breakthroughs in key areas such as pace control of three-electric system development and the integration of intelligent modules.
The sales report disclosed by Dongfeng Motor Group shows that its parent company, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, sold a total of 1.055 million vehicles from January to June, a year-on-year decrease of 15.8%. Based on the annual target of 3 million units, the completion rate for its first-half sales is only 35.2%. However, according to terminal sales, Dongfeng Motor Corporation sold 1.116 million vehicles in the first half, with self-owned brands accounting for 60%, indicating that its independent transformation has shown results.
Notably, Dongfeng Nissan's cumulative sales in the first half of the year were about 250,000 units, a decline of over 20% year-on-year. However, its pure electric sedan N7 has exceeded 10,000 units since its delivery in May. The June OTA update introduced over 100 functional optimizations, showcasing the initial success of the electrification transformation. Zhou Feng's experience in regional strategic integration during his time at Nissan might assist the joint venture brand in achieving more efficient resource allocation in the new energy race.
