Chongqing Ruizhu plans to invest 860 million yuan to establish an industrial group integrating bamboo seedling cultivation and planting, bamboo fiber processing, and the production of environmentally friendly bamboo fiber containers, with an annual output of 3 billion tableware and meal boxes. The first phase of the project is currently being prepared for launch, with construction targeted to start in 2025. After the project is completed, the company aims to apply for an IPO within approximately three years.

On July 28, 2025, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration released the "Key Promoted Scientific and Technological Achievements for 'Bamboo Replacing Plastic'." The bamboo fiber disposable tableware and container processing technology, jointly developed by the International Bamboo and Rattan Center and Chongqing Ruizhu Plant Fiber Products Co., Ltd., was successfully selected. This technological achievement, with Ye Hanzhou, Wang Ge, Wang Jianzhong (Chairman of Chongqing Ruizhu), and others as the core contributors, provides a practical and feasible alternative to address the white pollution caused by disposable plastic tableware.

This technology uses bamboo fiber as the raw material and focuses on overcoming two major technical bottlenecks: green interwoven forming and automated production. Through characteristic processes such as fiber weaving, vacuum filtration, and molding pressing, the product achieves optimized key performances including water and oil resistance, as well as drop resistance. At the same time, it integrates robotic arm transfer, automatic edge cutting, and online control systems, significantly improving production capacity while reducing overall costs. No chemical additives are added throughout the entire process, and the produced tableware and containers can fully biodegrade naturally within 3 to 6 months after use, truly balancing environmental protection and practicality. The supporting industry standard LY/T3406-2024 "Bamboo Fiber Molded Containers" was officially implemented on May 1st this year, providing a technical basis for the standardized development of the industry.

From the production process perspective, this technology has a clear process pathway: bamboo is first processed into fibers with an average length of 0.5 to 1.5mm, impurities are removed through centrifugal sand removal, and then the material is formed into a wet billet through pulping or grouting with vacuum filtration. It is then heated and molded at 180 to 220℃ for shaping, followed by trimming, sterilization, and packaging. In the intelligent production workshop of Chongqing Ruizhu, this process operates efficiently through 23 production lines, with robotic arms precisely completing 18 procedures to transform bamboo fibers into high-temperature resistant, freeze-resistant eco-friendly tableware. According to the company's chairman, Wang Jianzhong, these products have passed stringent certifications in China, the US, and Europe, with an annual export revenue of nearly 400 million yuan, securing a stable market share in Europe and America.

The application scenarios of this technology are continuously expanding. In the catering field, it can replace disposable plastic lunch boxes, bowls, cups, etc., covering scenarios such as takeout, fast food, and airline meals. In the agriculture and forestry fields, it can be made into degradable seedling cups and trays, reducing soil pollution. In the medical field, it can be used as disposable trash cans and instrument trays, alleviating the pressure of medical waste disposal. Based on the annual demand for disposable lunch boxes in China exceeding 45 billion, if a 30% substitution rate is achieved, the market size could reach hundreds of billions of yuan.

Chongqing Ruizhu is headquartered in Zhong County, Chongqing. As an industrialization platform for this technology, it has accumulated more than 30 national patents and is advancing the construction of the "Ruizhu New Materials Environmental Protection Industrial Park." According to the "14th Five-Year Plan" jointly recommended by the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Bank of China, the company plans to invest 860 million yuan to build an industrial group covering bamboo planting, processing, production, and research and development, with a target annual output of 3 billion pieces of tableware and meal boxes, achieving an annual sales output value of 1 billion yuan. The first phase of the project is currently in the preparation stage, with construction planned to start in 2025. Upon completion, it is expected to achieve an annual sales output value of 600 million yuan, pay 25 million yuan in taxes, and provide 200 jobs. Chongqing Ruizhu is already listed on the Chongqing OTC market, has been included in Chongqing's cultivation program for companies planning to go public, and plans to apply for an IPO in about three years.
