On September 3rd, an unmanned combat equipment called the "Machine Wolf" made its debut at the September 3rd military parade. It evolved from a quadruped robot dog equipped with weapons or reconnaissance devices. The "Machine Wolf" appeared in the ground unmanned combat formation.

The reviewed equipment includes unmanned combat vehicles for reconnaissance and assault, mine clearance and bomb disposal, and squad support. These vehicles can be remotely controlled, operate autonomously, and be flexibly organized, achieving a new breakthrough in coordinated manned and unmanned operations on land.

Public reports indicate that the prototype of the "Machine Wolf" is a quadruped robot dog developed by a company under China North Industries Group Corporation Limited. It was first unveiled to the public at the Zhuhai Airshow in November 2024. According to the parameters provided on the company's official website, this quadruped robot dog uses domestically produced chips that are independently controllable, is equipped with two LiDAR sensors at the front and rear of the body, and is outfitted with five surround-view cameras around its body. The combination of these components enables 360-degree panoramic perception.

This robotic dog can carry objects weighing up to 20 kilograms, with a range of approximately 10 kilometers and an operating time of about 2.5 hours. It can complete a battery replacement in 30 seconds. It is capable of climbing slopes with a 40-degree incline, overcoming obstacles 30 centimeters high, and moving effortlessly across rubble, thereby adapting to complex terrain environments.

According to CCTV News, the "machine wolf" combat group has clearly defined roles: the "alpha wolf" at the front is responsible for reconnaissance and detection, collecting target information and transmitting reconnaissance images. It can receive commands within a radius of two and a half kilometers. The "shooter" is equipped with rifles and other strike payloads, and after receiving data from the reconnaissance "machine wolf," it launches precise attacks on targets. The comprehensive support type "machine wolf" can carry about 20 kilograms of supplies and ammunition at a time.

CCTV News stated that the "machine wolf" represents the transformation from new quality productive forces to new quality combat forces. This kind of intelligent unmanned swarm combat method can provide special operations teams and infantry units with cluster-based comprehensive combat capabilities.

In addition, the newly showcased unmanned underwater vehicles, unmanned boats, and unmanned mine-laying systems are also "secret weapons" in maritime combat.

The aerial unmanned combat formation also includes new types of reconnaissance-strike integrated drones, unmanned wingmen, and shipborne unmanned helicopters, capable of covert assault, wide-area coverage, and autonomous coordination.
