On September 8, 2025, CATL's Qianstone Chassis made its debut at the 2025 IAA MOBILITY in Munich, Germany. This marked the first appearance of the product in the European market. The exhibition provided global partners with the opportunity to closely learn about CATL's Qianstone Chassis. On-site, partners from Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, and other countries engaged in close exchanges with the CATL Qianstone Chassis team.

Innovate global cooperation models and deepen localized services.

The core design philosophy of CATL’s “Panshi” chassis is to achieve “decoupling of the upper and lower vehicle bodies,” transforming the chassis into a highly integrated “intelligent mobile base.” Currently, the Panshi chassis is planned in three platforms—large, medium, and small—covering all vehicle sizes for intelligent new mobility in the passenger car sector. It is also compatible with a wide range of technical solutions, such as CATL’s full range of battery technologies, distributed electric drive solutions, and fully electronic control systems. Partners can select the most suitable chassis platform and technical solutions as a development foundation according to their target market, vehicle positioning, and performance requirements.

Catering to the maturity of industrial chains in different regions worldwide and the development status of various new energy vehicle brands, CATL's Phosphate Chassis will provide chassis technology product services to partners through a "1+1+1" localization cooperation model. This model includes "one chassis technology platform, one R&D chain, and one local brand operation system," empowering partners to quickly launch competitively marketable models, significantly lowering investment thresholds, and achieving high-quality product launches.

Continuous technological breakthroughs empower global green mobility with a foundation of high safety, high efficiency, and high intelligence.

At the IAA event, the outstanding safety performance of CATL's Qilin chassis became one of the main focal points.

Building upon CATL's technological expertise in battery safety, a comprehensive safety protection system has been established, encompassing the cell, high-voltage system, and chassis system. This system meets the safety performance requirements for electric vehicles in multiple markets, including Europe and North America.

Decoupling the upper and lower vehicle bodies and parallel development are other important features of CATL's Rock Solid Chassis. This design separates the chassis platform (including the electric power system, suspension, braking, and steering) from the upper vehicle body (design, space, interior), providing partners with greater flexibility and efficiency in research and development. Its highly innovative product architecture design and flexible business collaboration model may trigger a new wave of new energy technology.

As of 2025, CATL's PanShi chassis has established cooperation with Chinese new energy vehicle brands such as Avatr, BAIC, and JAC, and is actively advancing related collaborations with international automotive brands in Europe and Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, strategic partnerships have been formed with all-scenario intelligent mobility platform companies like T3 Mobility and Ant Group to further explore the optimal lifecycle operation strategies for Robotaxi, jointly promoting the innovative development of Robotaxi.
