The model being discontinued is BYD's first highly flexible hybrid model launched for the South American market, and it is also a special edition for COP30 (the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference).
It is equipped with BYD's latest hybrid technology, achieving an excellent balance between fuel economy and power performance, tailored to the local energy structure and vehicle demands in Brazil.
Brazilian President Lula personally participated in the delivery ceremony and became a car owner, with BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu personally handing over the vehicle.This move also marks BYD's deep penetration into overseas markets.
Reviewing BYD's journey of surpassing the "10-million mark," on November 18, 2024, BYD's 10 millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line.From the first new energy vehicle to the 1 millionth, BYD took 13 years; whereas from the 9 millionth to the 10 millionth, it took only 54 days.
In 2025, BYD continued to maintain rapid growth, breaking through from the 10 million mark to 14 million in just about 10 months.
