BASF Base Supply, 33,000 Tons/Year High-End Specialty Polyolefins Project Announcement
On March 3, the environmental impact report for the high-end special polyolefin new materials project of Guangdong Teju New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was accepted and announced.
The total land area of the first phase of the high-end special polyolefin new materials project (Phase I) of Guangdong Teju New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is 73,333.35m², with a total construction area of approximately 9,071.35m². The designed production capacity as per the filing certificate is 33,000 tons/year of special polyolefin new materials. This construction phase will include a 3,000 tons/year production facility for high-end special polyolefin new materials and its auxiliary facilities, producing 3,114 tons/year of high-end polyolefin polymer products and 144.6 tons/year of by-product petroleum resin.
The report indicates that the main raw materials, ethylene and hydrogen, are supplied from the BASF (Zhanjiang) integrated base, transported via pipeline to the boundary of this project.
Guangdong Teju New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., established in September 2023 with a registered capital of 230 million yuan, plans a total investment of 692.32 million yuan to build a 33,000 tons/year high-end special polyolefin new materials production facility to the west of Tonggang Avenue and north of Weiyi Road in the Donghai Island, Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangdong Province (located next to BASF in Donghai Island, Zhanjiang City). Business scope: general projects: technology services, technology development, technology consultation, technology exchange, technology transfer, technology promotion; synthetic material manufacturing (excluding hazardous chemicals); specialty chemical product manufacturing (excluding hazardous chemicals); chemical product production (excluding licensed chemical products); chemical product sales (excluding licensed chemical products); specialty chemical product sales (excluding hazardous chemicals); new materials technology promotion services; new materials technology research and development; technology import and export; goods import and export.
It is reported that Guangdong Teju New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Guangdong Xinhua Yue Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (holding 50%) and Xiamen TCL Technology Industry Investment Co., Ltd. (holding 50%). The project's facilities are located next to BASF in Donghai Island, Zhanjiang City.
