These new Cesa™ MAX flame retardant additives are formulated with non-halogenated flame retardants, making them particularly suitable for applications where limiting excessive smoke and fumes is a primary requirement.

The new Cesa MAX FR additive is designed to help manufacturers meet or exceed current safety requirements in their applications, enabling end-use products to pass a wide range of increasingly stringent UL 94 standard testing methods.

This includes compliance with UL94 V0-V1-V2, 5VA, and 5VB standards. Additionally, internal testing conducted by Avient in its A2LA-certified corporate analytical testing and characterization laboratory indicates that the Cesa MAX FR additive can significantly reduce the heat release rate over time compared to traditional flame retardants, potentially limiting the spread of fire and damage.
