Automotive and Robotics Tier-1 Track Further Upgraded as Joyson Electronics and Alibaba Cloud Establish Comprehensive AI Collaboration
On the evening of August 26, Joyson Electronics officially announced that its subsidiary Ningbo Joyson Embodied Intelligent Robotics Co., Ltd. ("Joyson Embodied Intelligence") and Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. ("Alibaba Cloud") have recently signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out comprehensive AI cooperation in the field of embodied intelligent robots based on Alibaba Cloud's full series and full-scale Tongyi Qianwen artificial intelligence (AI) models, focusing on scenarios such as industrial manufacturing, medical care, and special operations. They will develop robot intelligent agents with advanced cognition, decision-making, and interaction capabilities, and jointly promote the implementation of localized solutions in overseas markets.

Currently, the automotive and robotics industries are undergoing a critical period of deep integration. Joyson Electronics has positioned itself as an “Automotive + Robotics Tier 1” supplier and will fully enter the humanoid robot sector by early 2025. The company provides key components—including comprehensive brain control units, energy management modules, and high-performance body armor materials—to leading overseas robotics firms as well as top domestic companies such as Zhiyuan Robotics and Galaxy General. Additionally, Joyson offers integrated hardware and software solutions such as robot heads and thoracic assemblies, actively advancing product development and commercialization.
Founded in April 2025, Junsheng Embodied Intelligence brings together a team of PhDs and master's graduates from leading universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Technical University of Munich, and the University of Southern California. The company is dedicated to the research and development of embodied intelligence systems, focusing on interactive intelligence, operational intelligence, and mobility intelligence.

This time, Joyson Electronics has partnered with Alibaba Cloud to jointly promote the application of large models in the field of embodied intelligent robots. According to the cooperation agreement, Alibaba Cloud, as a global leader in cloud computing and artificial intelligence technology, will provide full-stack large model services and underlying cloud resource support for Joyson's embodied intelligence in the robotics field, based on the full series and full size of the Tongyi Qianwen model.
At the same time, based on Joyson Electronics' global layout and Alibaba Cloud's global infrastructure, the two parties will work closely together, complementing each other's strengths to jointly target overseas markets. They aim to provide overseas clients with robot intelligence solutions tailored to local needs and the underlying large model capabilities these solutions rely on, ensuring the solutions' technological advancement, compliance, and cross-cultural adaptability.
