Apple iOS/iPadOS 18.4 Release: Overseas Models Support Chinese Apple Intelligent AI Features
Apple today released the iOS 18.4 update (build number: 22E240) to iPhone users, 20 days after the last official version was released.
It should be noted that due to caching configurations on Apple's regional node servers, there may be slight delays in detecting update availability in some areas, typically within half an hour, and not much longer.
This update includes the Apple Vision Pro app, new Apple Intelligence features for notifications and additional language support, a recipe feature for Apple News+ subscribers, and several functional optimizations for the Photos app. IT Home has compiled the specific update details as follows:

Add content from global top recipe publishers
The recipe directory supports browsing/searching for ideal dishes and saving them to "My Recipes"
The cooking mode provides step-by-step guidance.
The food section also includes restaurant stories, kitchen tips, and healthy eating content.
Photo App
Add a gallery view filter to show or hide items not included in albums or synced from Mac/PC.
Support reordering items in the "Media Types" and "Utilities" collections.
All collections use unified filtering options, including sorting by time in ascending/descending order.
Add the functionality to sort albums by modification date.
Disable the "Recently Viewed" and "Recently Shared" collections in photo settings
After enabling Face ID for photos, hidden photos will no longer be imported to Mac/PC.

Safari's recent search suggestions help users quickly return to their previous search topic.
The parental setup assistant simplifies the process of creating children's accounts, allowing for deferred setup and enabling age-appropriate default settings.
