Aimplas Expands RecyClass Certification: Covers Automotive and Electrical & Electronic Plastics Evaluation
The Plastic Technology Center located in Valencia, Spain — Aimplas — has expanded the scope of its RecyClass certification to include its laboratories for evaluating the recyclability of plastic materials used in the automotive and electronic-electrical industries.

This new recognition builds on the achievements already gained in the packaging industry, enabling the center to conduct technical validation work in accordance with the RecyClass protocol. These validations confirm whether the innovations developed by companies are compatible with the appropriate plastic recycling streams, ensuring that they represent sustainable solutions that support strategic industries in transitioning to more circular production models.
