$748 million! A 100,000-ton BDO waste liquid resource utilization project in Inner Mongolia to start trial production next month
Inner Mongolia Jiet Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s project for the annual treatment of 100,000 tons of BDO waste liquid resource utilization and the annual production of 35,000 tons of THF has a total investment of approximately 748 million yuan. Currently, all equipment installation work for the project has been completed, and single-machine and instrument debugging, road hardening, etc., are underway. It is expected that by the end of March, the project will undergo water circulation; it is estimated that by the end of April, it will enter the trial production stage.
Tetrahydrofuran is an important raw material for organic synthesis and an excellent solvent, widely used in the production of synthetic resins, coatings, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. This project uses BDO waste liquid from Wuhai and surrounding BDO manufacturing enterprises as raw material to prepare high-quality tetrahydrofuran, achieving the resource utilization of by-product effective components in the BDO industry. In addition, the raw material for the production of N-methylpyrrolidone, one of its products, is gamma-butyrolactone, and the product tetrahydrofuran serves as a raw material for PTMEG, completing the industrial chain for gamma-butyrolactone and PTMEG manufacturers in Wuhai. After the project's launch, it can save 340,000 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon emissions by 904,000 tons, turn hazardous waste into valuable resources, support the transformation and upgrading of the BDO industry, and provide strong support for green and low-carbon development.

This project includes an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tons of BDO waste liquid and the production of 35,000 tons of tetrahydrofuran (THF) in a combined unit, 100,000 tons of high-purity NMP unit, raw material and product tank areas, incinerator, air compression and nitrogen generation, loading and unloading station, ground flare, laboratory, central control room, electrical distribution room, spare parts warehouse, foam fire station, desalination plant, and other supporting utility and auxiliary production facilities. The total investment for this project is 748,640,000 yuan.
