12.5 billion! The first phase of Lianhe Gracery project is handed over! Including a 200,000-ton EVA facility.
It was learned that on March 28, the first batch of intermediate handover units of the Lianhong Gerun (Shandong) integrated project held an intermediate handover ceremony. Three units, including the 15# area substation, sewage treatment plant substation, and foam station, were successfully completed for intermediate handover.
The Lianhong Gerun (Shandong) Integrated Project is a large-scale project involving the entire plant, including the construction of 38 main units, including the DMTO unit. The general contracting contract for this project was signed on February 28, 2024, and construction commenced on-site on April 11.
The handover of the first batch of units is a critical milestone in the Lianhong project. According to the contract requirements, various units of the project will be handed over successively starting from March 2025. In the next phase, the project team will accelerate design completion and construction efforts in line with the company's directives to ensure all key milestones are achieved on schedule.
During the 14th Five-Year period, Lianhong will focus on new energy materials (such as photovoltaic materials, new energy battery materials, etc.), biodegradable materials (such as biodegradable materials, biobased materials, etc.), electronic materials (such as ultra-pure electronic special gases, wet electronic chemicals, etc.), and other special fine chemicals.
In photovoltaic materials, the company has already laid out the core raw materials for photovoltaic encapsulant films, namely EVA and POE. Currently, it has an EVA capacity of 150,000 tons per year. After the commissioning of the Envision Solar integrated project, its EVA capacity will reach 350,000 tons per year. Meanwhile, the 90,000-ton-per-year VA facility successfully commenced operations in January 2024 and has been running at full load continuously and steadily, achieving complete self-supply of raw materials for the EVA facility.
The company is planning to construct a 300,000-ton-per-year POE project, with the first phase of a 100,000-ton-per-year POE facility expected to be completed and put into operation by 2025. This project has been included in the "2024 Jiangsu Province Major Project Implementation List for Advanced Manufacturing."
