Brazil makes final anti-dumping ruling on chinese nylon filament yarn, measures temporarily not implemented
On June 9, 2026, the Executive Management Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 908 of 2026, making an affirmative final anti-dumping determination on nylon filament yarn (Portuguese: fios têxteis de filamentos contínuos de náilon) originating in or imported from the Chinese producer/exporter Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd. The Committee decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of USD 2,192.48 per metric ton on the company and its affiliated producers/exporters for a period of five years. Its affiliated producers/exporters are as follows: Jiangxi Jihao New Material Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yate New Material Co., Ltd., and Yiwu Dingte New Material Co., Ltd. However, in consideration of the public interest, the implementation of the measure has been suspended. The MERCOSUR tariff codes of the products involved are 5402.31.11, 5402.31.19, and 5402.45.20. This Resolution shall enter into force as of the date of its publication.

On December 20, 2024, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil issued Notice No. 78 of 2024, initiating an anti-dumping investigation into nylon filament yarn originating in or imported from the Chinese producer/exporter Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd., in response to an application filed by the Brazilian domestic industry association Associação Brasileira de Produtores de Fibras Artificiais e Sintéticas (ABRAFAS) on July 31, 2024. The dumping investigation period is from April 2023 to March 2024, and the injury investigation period is from April 2019 to March 2024.
On October 24, 2025, the Executive Management Committee of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Brazil issued Resolution No. 805/2025, deciding to impose a six-month provisional anti-dumping duty on nylon filament originating in or imported from the Chinese producer/exporter Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd., at a rate of USD 1,973.23 per ton. Its affiliated enterprises, Jiangxi Jihao New Materials Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yate New Materials Co., Ltd., and Yiwu Dingte New Materials Co., Ltd., were also subject to the same rate of USD 1,973.23 per ton. On December 2, 2025, the Executive Management Committee of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Brazil (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 820/2025, and, in view of domestic public interest, decided to cancel, as of the date of issuance of the resolution, the provisional anti-dumping duty on nylon filament originating in or imported from the Chinese producer/exporter Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd.
