Medipol Acıbadem Hospital captivates with its incorporation of radial, circular, and curvy design elements. The hospital's architectural language showcases visually engaging spaces that enhance the spatial experience in the hospital. The radial bed positioning in patient rooms maximises efficiency and ease of movement. Notable features include the honeycomb-patterned ceiling and illuminating acrylic surfaces, creating a captivating interplay of light and texture. The thoughtful use of materials, along with the incorporation of green elements, fosters a healing environment. Medipol Acıbadem Hospital exemplifies the seamless integration of form and function as a whole. Every aspect of the design is meticulously planned to optimise space and enhance efficiency. A strong desire to establish connections between spaces exists, as increased visual contact enhances communication with the environment. This intention of spatial awareness extends beyond the lobby, with consistent product design principles resonating throughout the entire hospital demonstrating a commitment to compact design solutions. The skillful combination of wood, acrylic, and metal materials results in a harmonious fusion, evoking a sense of unity rather than a simplistic architectural concept. Thoughtfully placed subtle lighting further enhances this feeling, enriching the overall design experience. Attention to detail is evident as the design elements seamlessly merge, resulting in a sense of unity, cohesion and completeness. This project showcases the integration of specially Zoom designed small units strategically positioned within specific spaces, reinforcing the overall architectural vision. These units are crafted around the concept ‘Focus', featuring in the custom reception desks and ceiling lighting, fluid seating elements at the lobby and hand washing units. Each unit placed in each polyclinic maintains a unique identity creating a harmony of light, colour and texture while also adhering to a cohesive design language. The hospital's futuristic approach to design seamlessly integrates walls, ceilings and columns to create an interconnected organism. By utilising high ceilings, mezzanine levels, and organic materials, the hospital achieves a spatial richness. With a focus on both functionality and aesthetics, Medipol Acıbadem Hospital sets the standard for healthcare facility design by creating a welcoming and healing environment.
