The snack specialist from Hameln The company XOX began in 1908 as a biscuit factory "Hollandia" and was renamed "XOX-Biskuitfabrik GmbH" in 1930. The name originates from two windmill blades and a grain in the middle. Between 1970 and 1989, XOX was sold and taken over by various companies. Only when Edmund E. Besecke took over in 1998 did the brand achieve success. The brand XOX was "brought back to life" by Edmund E. Besecke. He bought the brand and moved the headquarters to Hameln on the Weser River. There, he began under the name XOX Gebäck GmbH with 3 employees solely distributing savory snacks. In partnership with companies, the first 5 products were launched. The range quickly increased to 20 snack products. The warehouse of XOX is located in Southern Germany, from where all customers are served. Production was relocated from the Netherlands to Hameln. The warehouse in Southern Germany was also closed, and the establishment of central production and storage in Hameln began with 30 employees. Our brand XOX celebrated its 100th anniversary with a team of 60 employees. Our product range now includes approximately 80 products, of which 60% are produced in-house. Stefan Hund, the marketing and sales manager, joined the company. Under our brand, 100 products are now offered, of which 80% are produced at our location in Hameln. This year, we celebrate our 15th anniversary at the Hameln location. We combine tradition with innovation and are an important partner for the trade in the market for savory snacks. Stefan Hund joined, alongside owner Edmund E. Besecke, as managing partner. Our production celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Hameln location. We are on a growth trajectory and now work in a strong team of 160 employees. Furthermore, we can also expand our position internationally and are now active in more than 30 countries. We are breaking ground for our new production hall at the Hameln location, laying the foundation for further new technologies and the doubling of production capacity. 111 years of XOX! For several decades we have already been producing delicious snacks that guarantee full snacking fun at every party. Happy Birthday XOX – to the next 111 years! With the commissioning of the new location in Lauenau in 2021, XOX sets a new important hub for future sales network expansion and production expansion.
