This business was born in the pandemic, out of boredom, necessity & the idea of an 8 yr old. We are 2 wrestling coaches who were World Team members (USA & Serbia) who decided last year to pursue our passion and travel the country bettering our youth through wrestling...until COVID-19 ruined ALL our plans and demolished our income. Then one day my daughter asked for a porch swing. We didn't have much except time, so we repurposed a pallet to make a swing and she made it cozy with some pillows & blanket. A neighbor asked if we were selling them, we laughed and said, "nope, we were just bored!" then later that night we decided, "why not, let's throw it on FB marketplace and see what happens!" We have been busy every day since then and now have dozens of happy families enjoying their outdoor space with swings! The cute 10 yr old makes $8.00 per swing (her negotiation) and we hire collegiate wrestlers from Grand View University to help make and deliver swings. They are learning the value of hard work in addition to entrepreneurial and trade skills. This happenstance silver lining of the pandemic has truly been a blessing, we enjoy making each custom order and getting to deliver joy. Thankfully wrestling has taught us valuable life lessons like resiliency, hard work, determination & knowing how to get back up when being knocked down that have served us through those unpredictable times to provide an unexpectedly beautiful life for our kids while showing them the value of hard work.
