Dr Clarke joined the practice in 1982, becoming the Principal in 1991. Prior to this he had previously worked in the West End of London, and owned a Harley Street practice until 2001 when Dr Marnitz joined him as Co-Principal at West London Dental Centres. Dr Clarke’s interests include politics, both general and health. He has previously represented colleagues as Chairman of Ealing, Hammersmith and Hounslow Local Dental Committee (LDC) and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Confederation of London LDCs. Outside of work Dr Clarke is a sports enthusiast – with a particular interest in rugby, football, tennis and skiing. He is also a trustee of the dental charity Burmadent; regularly travelling to Burma with members of our team where he provides urgent dental care to orphan children and the poor community in Myanmar (Burma). Graduating from The University of Witwatersrand in 1986, Dr Marnitz spent six years practicing general dentistry in South Africa whilst completing a law degree, before moving to London in 1992. He joined the practice as an associate in 1992 until 1996. From 1997 till 2000 he became a partner in a small dental practice in Putney before returning back to the practice as a partner in 2001. Dr Marnitz enjoys general dentistry but has a special interest in orthodontics for both adults and children. As a certified Invisalign Doctor, he regularly carries out aesthetic dentistry incorporating adult orthodontics using invisible braces. Being well versed in implantology Dr Marnitz regularly carries out advanced restorative techniques using digital imaging. Dr Dodd graduated from the University of London in 1984 and then spent two years in hospital dentistry specifically paediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Following this, she spent six years at the University of California in San Francisco as a resident in general dentistry and becoming Associate Clinical Professor in Oral Medicine. She returned to the UK to complete her Masters degree at the University of Edinburgh in 1994. She has worked for five years in industry as a research dentist for Proctor and Gamble before moving into general practice in 2000. She has been an associate at West London Dental Centres since 2003. Dr Dodd enjoys general dentistry, specifically restorative dentistry and is especially sensitive to the needs of children and anxious patients. In addition to her clinical work she works as a Dento Legal Consultant with Medical Protection Limited and is a magistrate in the Family Court. Dr Dodd enjoys travelling and has travelled with charities to Haiti, Cambodia and Mexico to volunteer her time as a dentist. She enjoys running, cycling, cooking, reading and playing bridge. Born and bred in West London, Dr George attended St Paul’s School and then King’s College London from where he graduated in 2007. He then went on to gain his postgraduate membership from The Royal College of Surgeons in 2010. He takes great pride in establishing close relationships with his patients and is aware of the importance of making them feel comfortable and at ease within the practice. With a firm interest in root canals and crown work, he also enjoys carrying out tooth whitening, aesthetic dentistry and is a certified Invisalign Doctor. He has embraced digital dentistry and regularly uses our 3shape and iTero scanners for his more advanced work. Dr Gordon is originally from the north-east of England and graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012. She then went on to gain her postgraduate qualifications at the Royal College of Surgeons & Physicians. With a keen interest in minimally invasive cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening and composite bonding, she is also a certified Invisalign Doctor and uses the iTero scanner for all advanced restorative work. Dr Gordon also provides our facial aesthetics treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking, skiing and sampling different cuisines. She is currently training for a half ironman next year. Melody is our friendly and bubbly hygienist who takes great pride in helping her patients look at their health in a positive way whilst also taking a holistic approach to the prevention of oral disease. She gained her bachelors degree on oral health in South Africa in 2013 and is currently doing an MSc in Advanced Minimal Intervention at Kings College London where she is doing a thesis.
