VMVC AeroDynamic

The Veluwse Model Vlieg Club-AeroDynamic from Nunspeet and surrounding areas is an association of and for model flyers and builders. It all started in 1975, with a handful of enthusiastic model flyers from Nunspeet. More and more model flyers joined the club and in 1979 the VMVC was officially founded. Thanks to the cooperation of the municipality of Nunspeet, the VMVC-AeroDynamic now has a beautiful flying field: the Elspeterveld (located between Elspeet and Uddel), where flying is possible on a number of days of the week during certain times. On this field you can enjoy motor flying but also excellent thermal flying with gliders. Meanwhile, we have grown into a full-fledged model flying club with enthusiastic and involved members. By joining forces with other enthusiastic model flyers, we can now offer a wide range of what makes model flying so interesting. We have a clubhouse where we meet every Tuesday evening and where construction activities also take place, as well as clinics and theme evenings. Furthermore, we are very active with indoor flying, especially in the winter season, and editions of the Dutch National Championship were flown in the Matenhal in Apeldoorn in 2013, 2014 and 2019. And we organize a water flying day on, for example, Busloo several times a year. You can also come to us to learn how to operate a model, we do this with certified instructors, first theoretically on, for example, a simulator and then on our field near Elspeet where you will be trained for an internationally recognized license. Once you have this license, nothing stands in your way to develop yourself further in this fascinating hobby independently and within the club. The board; of course, there are always serious matters to be resolved and for that we have an active board, which is supported by several committees. The board consists of Gijs Heg (chairman), Hans Loois (secretary) and Henk Overmars (treasurer) and Albert Voortman (field affairs). Together they try to keep the club on the right track.
