Sidney Maurer only painted people who have made a significant contribution to the betterment of mankind. Many celebrities sent him their favourite photos to work on using his iconic Pop Art style. He worked with Andy Warhol on photographs and paintings. In the 1960's Maurer’s artwork became highly recognised and appeared in Galleries and Auctions across London. He befriended the greatest icons, musicians and film stars of the globe. He helped to build the music and art empire and painted over 350 of the world’s celebrated icons including The Rolling Stones, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Michael Jackson... just to name a few.
