From sheep to lamp and wall panel Are you looking for lighting that gives a fine, peaceful atmosphere to your space? Or do you have a bare wall where you want to hang something beautiful? Vilt aan Zee makes sustainable handmade lamps and wall panels from 100% wool processed into felt. Most lamps are made to order exactly to your liking. If you don't want to wait for that, you can also choose a lamp from the webshop. (At the moment not all lamps are in the webshop, so if you want to know which lamps are available, please contact us!). Our products are soundproof and bring warmth into the house. They are produced locally and sustainably, right in The Hague! From small to very large The size of the lamps varies from 20 cm to 100 cm. Because there are so many possibilities in terms of size, shape and color, not many lamps are in stock, but we mainly make them on request. This way you get exactly the lamp you want. Would you like advice on which lamp looks beautiful in your space? We are happy to make a sketch for you so that you can make the right choice. We are also happy to help you with the size and color of the wall panels. In the shop/atelier of Vilt aan Zee, lamps from the various collections hang in various sizes. These lamps are for sale and serve as inspiration to compose and order your own lamp. The lamp will then be ready within a maximum of 8 weeks. In the shop you will find a mix of small and larger felt wall works next to the lamps. Both framed and pure as canvas. Nice to give as a gift. Are you curious how the products are created? All lamps and wall works are made in the shop/atelier, so there is a good chance that you will see the manufacturing process if you come by. The shop is located in the center of The Hague in Boekhorststraat. Nice to combine with a day out in The Hague or at the beach. See you soon! Yes! We only use natural materials such as sheep's wool, olive soap, water and glue based on starch. The wool comes from European sheep that are treated animal-friendly. No material is lost during the process. So zero-waste. In addition, we make the lamps to order. There is hardly any stock, so we never have to throw away a lamp that does not sell. Wool is biodegradable. You could throw the lamp in the compost! We make everything by hand in our studio in The Hague!
