Valenza and the art of jewelry: archives, goldsmith tradition and MOD (Museum of Diffused Goldsmithing) is a project promoted by the Municipality of Valenza with the support of the Piedmont Region and the Alessandria Savings Bank Foundation, in collaboration with the association “Friends of the Museum of Goldsmithing Valenza”, For.Al "Vincenzo Melchiorre", the Group of Goldsmith Companies Confindustria Alessandria, and the Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria. The primary objective is the enhancement of the goldsmith art of Valenza through a virtual portal and specific setups that tell the existing documentary heritage. On the portal, you can find information about historical production realities, documents, audiovisuals, images, digitizations of volumes and publications; in the various MOD points, reconstructions of goldsmith workshops, exhibitions of equipment. To rediscover the memory of the "know-how" of workers, technicians, entrepreneurs, and to provide a tool for reading our history. Knowing history to imagine the future because we believe that the “goldsmith's bench” should remain the quality mark of modern Valenzanian production.
