Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center of World Level "Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Materials"

The Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center of World Level "Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Materials" was created to unite the potentials of educational and scientific organizations of the real sector of Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, and Kurgan regions. The center participates in obtaining competitive technologies and products, and their subsequent commercialization, as well as training personnel to solve scientific and technological tasks aimed at breakthrough development in priority areas and increasing the competitiveness of the economies of the subjects within the center. The Ural Federal University initiated the creation and performs the functions of the project office of the UMC. The idea of creating a scientific and educational center was supported by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during his visit to UrFU in July 2019. The strategic goal is Russia's leadership in creating advanced manufacturing technologies and new materials. The mission is to ensure balanced and ahead-of-schedule development of the leading industrial regions of the country.
