UKKÖ Robotics launched in 2016 with the goal of using technology to transform the traditional barn, making pasture-based farming more accessible. It all started on a dairy farm on the Canadian prairies. Raised on a dairy farm, Daniel Badiou developed a strong knowledge of agricultural machinery and animal farming from an early age. He was constantly driven to learn more about the mechanical operation of agricultural machinery, and had fun finding solutions for problems and designing his own multi-purpose machines.Daniel designed, developed and implemented an autonomous barn. He tested it on his own farm to better understand the needs of chicken farming and adapt his future machines. UKKÖ Robotics was launched in September 2016 with the goal of using technology to transform the traditional barn, making pasture-based farming more accessible. Partnering with mechanical engineer Katrina Jean-Laflamme, UKKÖ specializes in manufacturing an all-in-one autonomous pasture barn called the ROVA Series. The ROVA provides farmers with the ability to raise animals on pasture while having the same benefits as most high-tech barns. If the best and most natural farm practices are the hardest to follow, the ROVA series exists to make it easier. UKKÖ Robotics is committed to positive environmental sustainability. We design and engineer agricultural machinery that requires minimal maintenance, uses renewable energy and is easy to use. Equipment is solar-powered and designed to limit the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Simply put, we embrace a win-win-win strategy by reducing environmental impact, providing optimal care for animals, and decreasing manual labour.Our mandate to support local food producers and to give them the tools required for an efficient operation. We’re here to raise awareness about the importance of regenerative agriculture in rural areas and urban centres. We’re a team of makers, thinkers and farmers. We approach regenerative farming with innovation and technology, using what we learned to create easy-to-use products that give farmers flexibility and peace of mind. Our Engineers & Founders Daniel Badiou Co-Founder & CEO Daniel is a thinker, a builder and a visionary. Since his young age, he has always wanted to make things better at the family farm. When you don’t see him in front of his computer, he is in the shop making a side project. Now let’s get back to work.
