H. Pylori is a common stomach infection that is usually passed from person to person with dirty hands.  This infection is very resistant and will not go away by itself. The usual symptoms are heartburn, sensation of acid in the mouth and burning or pulling stomach pain (mainly at night). If the infection was present for a long time the symptoms might get less noticeable, but some people can develop unexplained hives rashes and swellings.
Infection with Helicobacter Pylori can be a co-factor in activation of mast cells *. This means that the infection can make allergic reactions more severe. Infection can be an underlying factor in some patients with urticaria and angioedema rashes and swellings. This is why if the infection is detected (positive) it needs to be treated straightaway by your GP using NICE protocol with several antibiotics taken together.
This test is done by collecting a stool sample and sending it to the laboratory for analysis.
(This test should be done at least two weeks after stopping antibiotics or medication called proton pump inhibitors (esomeprazole, omeprazole, lansoprazole, and pantoprazole) as the above medication can make the test false negative).  Order a stool pot
Up to 3 tests can be done remotely from a finger-prick. For more than three tests you can request several kits by completing separate orders of 3 allergens or the sample will be taken by a nurse in the laboratory (Central London)
If you have chosen to receive the testing kit at home, the blood test included in the remote testing kit limits us to 3 allergen tests. You will not be able to select anymore than 3.
If you have chosen to visit us at a clinic for your tests, just select the tests you would like us to perform.
Unlike many other tests that try to identify allergies using hair samples, we do scientifically proven IgE tests from blood samples for food and respiratory allergies.
A simple “Home blood testing kit” is sent through in the post. It can be used to collect sample from a finger-prick for a big screening allergy test with a set list of allergens or up to 3 individual allergy tests that can be chosen on the website.
If testing for more than 3 allergens is required a larger volume sample will need to be collected by a nurse in the laboratory.
You can decide what test is right for you. If you need help you can have a consultation with one of our allergy and immunology consultants via a video-link or face to face for additional fee.
You can choose from individual tests on the website that will test one allergen at once £40 per allergen or have a screening test that will include airborne and food allergens £467 (112 components, please review the list of allergens tested).
A simple testing kit is dispatched for you to do at home  (you can ask assistance from a medical professional especially if it is for a child) In London you can opt for attending our laboratory for a nurse to take a blood sample.
Your sample is then sent to the lab for testing and you will receive results in two weeks.
You can discuss results and agree treatment plan with our allergy specialists for an additional fee.
Once you have paid the fee via our secure Worldpay system, your testing kit will be sent out with full instructions. (For children 5 and under, blood needs to be collected by a medical professional. If you are not comfortable providing your own sample, please seek the assistance of a medical professional).

• If you are not entirely happy with your blood testing kit, we will be happy to offer you a refund provided that you notify us of your decision to cancel your order for the test(s) within 7 days of placing your order and the unused blood testing kit has been returned. You should expect your refund to be processed within 30 days. Any delivery costs incurred in sending your test kit will not be refunded there will be also no refund for the £58 laboratory handling fee. Please remember that it can take three to four days after we have processed a refund payment for it to appear on your credit card statement.
• If you have used the kit or already sent your sample to the laboratory for testing, we are unable to cancel the test or provide refunds. If you feel that the results differ from what you have expected, please follow the established procedures directly with the laboratory.
• If you wish to cancel your appointment with consultants this can be done given at least 48h notice prior to the appointment time. You should expect your refund to be processed within 30 days. There is an administrative fee of £15 applied to all refunds. If the appointment was not attended or you cancel less than 48h we are unable to provide refunds.

Do not be fooled by the widely available IgG tests online for food intolerance. There is no need to change your diet if IgG antibodies to food are detected. IgG antibodies do NOT indicate an allergy or intolerance to a specific food. IgG antibodies to food are formed in all healthy people as a part of the digestion process. There is no specific screening test for intolerance at present. In our department we can also offer tests for Lactose and Gluten intolerances.
