Aloha. My name is Leala. And this story, the story of our company, is personal. My mother Alice started this company 30 years ago here on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Her love of Hawai’i - the land, people and way of life is in every product we make. She embodied the spirit of Aloha and is the inspiration behind what we do today. When she passed, my family decided to maintain her legacy by creating Ua Body. Meaning rain in Hawaiian, Ua reminds us that nature is a powerful healer, and that we, in turn, must nurture and protect the earth. We do this with a focus in sustainability. We source local ingredients, use recyclable packaging and offer a refill program to help reduce waste. We also donate to various non-profit organizations, whose mission is to preserve the culture, land, and oceans of Hawaii that we are blessed to call home. Our natural, clean, and vegan skin care products are all handcrafted in small batches in our workshop in Hawai’i. Our promise to you is high-quality, additive-free formulas consisting of natural and native ingredients that replenish, hydrate, and protect your skin. In an effort to reduce single-use plastic, our packaging comes in glass and paper. To further this effort we contribute a portion of each sale to various Hawaii-based organizations whose mission is to preserve the culture, land, and oceans that we call home. We hope that Ua Body becomes part of your daily ritual, and brings to you the Aloha spirit wherever you may go.
