Founded in 1996 with the belief that good design enriches life, twentytwentyone celebrates outstanding 20th and 21st century design from their Islington retail store and Clerkenwell showroom. twentytwentyone sources a highly curated selection of furniture, lighting and accessories ranging from early 20th century modernist and mid-century classics alongside work by established and emerging contemporary designers. Through twentytwentyone contracts, a dedicated service is provided to architects, designers, and commercial clients, assisting in the specification and supply of furniture and lighting for hospitality, office, residential and institutional projects. Interiors furnished by twentytwentyone include the Barbican, Tate Modern, V&A Dundee, and numerous acclaimed offices, hotels, and restaurants worldwide.twentytwentyone also produces a range of award-winning furniture and lighting by historic and contemporary designers Robin Day, William Plunkett and Barber Osgerby and runs a rolling programme of exhibitions and events that highlight and celebrate the importance of design. In 2022, twentytwentyone became an Employee-Owned Trust to secure the long-term future of the business and its employees.
