All of our products promise a comfortable, eco-friendly design for exceptional product quality. Water Protection: We are aware that the textile industry is a major consumer of water. That’s why we choose our fabrics from suppliers committed to responsible practices aimed at minimizing water use. Our products are primarily made of wool, a material whose production requires less water than cotton:- Cotton: 10,000 liters of water per kilogramWater and soil pollution: intensive use of fertilizers and pesticides during cultivation, as well as chemicals for bleaching and dyeing.- Wool: 800 liters of water per kilogramWater and soil pollution: mainly due to sheep farming. As part of a more sustainable approach, we prioritize recycled wool and the use of end-of-line fabrics, thereby limiting the production of new fibers. For our latest collections, we used leftover stock fabrics, though traceability was sometimes limited. However, a large portion of our fabric rolls came from Italian collections, where water management regulations are stricter. Aware of the environmental challenges linked to the textile industry, we are committed to making responsible decisions to reduce our impact. Our future goal is to prioritize certified recycled products. Animal Protection: Our entire summer skirt collection is made with RWS-certified merino wool, supplied by Tessile Florentina. ? Learn more about their sustainable commitment However, like conventional wool, merino wool is a significant source of CO₂ emissions. Additionally, its production raises concerns around animal welfare, particularly in Oceania, where merino sheep are sometimes subjected to mulesing. This practice involves removing a section of skin under the animal's tail to prevent parasitic infestations (flystrike), but it is widely criticized for its cruelty. ? A more responsible alternative? New Zealand banned mulesing in 2018. In contrast, Australia continues to practice and defend it. To ensure more ethical wool, we exclusively select suppliers based in Italy and New Zealand, where animal welfare is better respected. **Saving Energy and Reducing Our Footprint** *Toward More Responsible Fashion* The textile industry is a major global player— but also one of the most polluting, emitting around 4 billion tons of CO₂ annually. Every stage of production, from raw materials to waste, impacts the environment. Since the late 20th century, rising demand has only amplified its carbon footprint. We are committed to offering a more sustainable alternative, both in how we produce and how we consume. **The Environmental Cost of Wool** While wool is a natural fiber, its production is highly polluting: - 80.3 kg CO₂ per 1 kg of wool,vs. 10.1 kg CO₂ per 1 kg of viscose. Sheep farming emits methane and nitrous oxide—potent greenhouse gases—while also degrading soil and polluting water. *Our Circular Production Commitment* We aim for 90% of our accessory materials (leather, buttons, labels) to be recycled by 2026–2027.
