tona LLC. is a Tokyo based design company founded by Rika Kawato, a Japanese Danish designer specializing in textile & color design, and design in healthcare and welfare. Having spent her childhood in different countries and cultures, Rika has been exposed to the diverse forms of art and design expression that do not depend on words. tona LLC. applies this experience to a wide range of design fields including the healthcare and welfare sectors, as well as international textile & interior brands, to create products and spaces that value color, materials, and the sense of nature for the wellbeing of the users. Living with her grandmother in Denmark and working in an elderly care facility in Japan had a profound influence on her design approach.
