The Sound Post Ltd was founded in London in 1993 by the late Stephen Jocelyn, a professional cellist, who wanted to improve the quality of student instruments available in the UK. The Primavera range was introduced in 1995 and revolutionised the student violin market, by introducing for the first time styrofoam cases and tailpieces with integral adjusters as part of the outfit as well as a much improved quality of workmanship in the student violin. The Primavera (P200) was chosen as the Best Bowed instrument 2005 & 2013 at the MIA Awards and this achievement has been followed up with the Best Supplier Award for 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012 & 2013. In 2014 & 2015 we were awarded with the Best Customer Service in the UK MI.
