The reality is that very seldom do ice makers go bad inside 24 months. Sometimes control boards that have gone bad can virus the ice maker from receiving a signal from the new control boards. This is rare but does happen and when it does the seller should be held responsible. The I.R. Boards will be warrantied for the industry standard 12 months. The warranty is void for shut off arm controlled ice makers if foreign food and drink containers were placed in the ice bucket during use. That is a certain prescription for a broken ice maker and for that, the seller should not be responsible.....
