Welcome to the website The Houseborow Corp. I created the THC Guitars workshop in Chateaugiron (Brittany) As a French luthier and music enthusiast, I specialize in the production of Cigar Box Guitars with the philosophy of creating instruments of the highest possible quality. I work in a process of continuous improvement to optimize sound quality, playing comfort, optimal playability, and warm sound. My creations are recognized for being made with great care and particular attention to detail. Each guitar is delivered set up and tuned to deliver its unique sound potential. The work of lutherie is essential to obtain an instrument that guitarists will want to play for a long time. The choice of materials for the necks, boxes, and all components is, of course, essential. I offer a range of models that can appeal to many (often including a limited edition), but I also create unique and customized models upon request. In a vintage style, rich in blues history, but also more modern. Of course, I offer guitars that can be played right or left-handed without price discrimination; just let me know when ordering. I chose not to use original cigar boxes but only woods selected for lutherie. Learning blues for a beginner on this type of guitar is much simpler than on a classical, electric, or electro-acoustic guitar. You can start without knowledge of music theory, without traditional sheet music and tablatures. After this first gratifying musical experience, it will be more motivating to tackle theory and explore other genres like rock, folk, or punk. It is now easy to find a Cigar Box Guitar on the market, or for an amateur or professional musician to handcraft their own musical instrument.
