THE COMPOUND CAGES AND FIELD HOUSE

Our story begins with family, our grandfather, Frank, loved Baseball. He was a catcher in his day and made sure all of his grandchildren had gloves, baseballs and bats. We spent countless hours playing made up games that included a ball, tennis, baseball, ping pong or whatever we had, and a bat of some sort. These games could have just a pitcher and batter or expand to a full game. We would practice all kinds of different pitches and switch hitting. We would play indoors, outdoors, day or night. We kept score for bragging rights and played like we were in game 7 of the World Series, doing Play by Play the whole time. We started the Compound because we wanted our kids and others to have a place they can come practice and play the greatest game.
