DV Powers battery discharge resistors BLU-A are a portable, powerful and lightweight solution for battery capacity measurement. It can be used on all battery strings, such as lead-acid, Li-ion, Ni-Cd, etc. with up to 300 V battery voltage. The BLU100L model can also perform capacity tests on a single lithium-ion cell. The capacity test is performed accurately and user-friendly. The test also complies with battery testing standards IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22 and other relevant standards. With BLU-A discharge resistors, the discharge current can be set to up to 240 A with a resolution of 0.1 A. If higher currents are required, several BLU-A units can be connected in parallel, or extra BXL-A discharge resistors can be used. The instrument has the best power-to-weight ratio on the market.The BLU-A series has models from 12.8 kg and up to 28.4 kW power. The user can choose three discharge modes: constant current, constant power or constant resistance. In addition, different battery operating cycles can be simulated using selectable discharge profiles. The instrument monitors discharge parameters in real time during the capacity test. A 4.3-inch touchscreen displays battery voltage, current, elapsed time and capacity throughout the test. BLU-A can also be used with DV-B Win software. This allows the user to view detailed numerical and graphical presentations of key parameters and create reports in various formats. Testing with BLU-A does not require the battery to be disconnected from the test equipment.
