TECNOMODEL ENGINEERING SRL is a company specialized in the design of low-pressure injection molds, control jigs, and small series prototypes. The investment project aims to improve energy efficiency in production with the goal of reducing energy costs through the purchase and installation of a photovoltaic system and the purchase and installation of a new energy-saving machine. The project “Pillola della Felicità” (Pill of Happiness) is a new packaging idea for flat shoes, reusable as a design lamp. The innovation brought by the Project transcends the material result and is embodied in the productive, communicative, and interactive methods (purchase experience). The world of luxury fashion, advanced manufacturing, and communication have collaborated closely (mutually borrowing unusual content and approaches) to create a link between fashion and design, creativity and industrial production. With the support of Regione Lombardia, TECNOMODEL ENGINEERING SRL has conducted a commercial study on new markets, focusing particularly on the Russian and Swedish markets, analyzing the economic and social fabric, customs compliance, and the economic geography of the countries. The pandemic partially hindered the achievement of the initially outlined results, forcing the company to revise its goals and timeline. However, the company managed to create a fertile ground for the expected areas, with promising prospects for commercial expansion. The foundations provided by the Project and the exit from the global pandemic situation provide TECNOMODEL ENGINEERING SRL with an excellent ground to work on in the immediate future, aimed at gaining new partnerships and commercial relationships in markets characterized by new technologies, different ecological sensitivities, new actors, and rapidly evolving economic dynamics. As a first immediate milestone resulting from the Project, a new client has been acquired in the Nordic countries, specifically in Sweden, where the company has started to directly supply its prototype products, which serves as a good impetus for continuing in this direction.
