SWICO Auctions has been in the auction business since 1989 starting with onsite auction management for governmental agencies, businesses and personal entities. Since 2000 we have been producing online auctions which have now increased to 98% of our business. We are one of a few auction companies in Texas that allow a seller to post individual items on our web site for auction. We currently have over 1100 government, business and private sellers using our online auction service. Jim Swigert, CEO, started SWICO Auctions in 1989 after graduating from Texas A&M University in Architectural Construction and a 20-year career in the construction industry. Jim received his auctioneer license after having one on one lessons with the famous Walter Britton. Jim is a member of both the Texas Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. From 1993 to to 2001 Jim served on the Texas Auctioneers Association Board of Directors, and was President from 1999-2000, and served as Secretary/Treasurer from till 2019. On June 18, 2006 Jim was inducted in the Texas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame for his dedication to the Association, its membership and the auction industry as a whole. Lance Swigert, President, started working full time with SWICO Auctions in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelors' degree from Texas A&M University and Master's degree from Oklahoma State University. Lance graduated from Texas Auction Academy in June of 2005 and soon after received his license. Lance is a member of both the Texas Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association.  Lance served as a member of the Texas Auctioneers Association Board of Directors and was President of the association 2017-2018. Lance graduated  the Certified Auctioneers Institute in the spring of 2015.
