Soil Division Manager – Michael Olsson Michael has been with Sumas since the start of the company in 2002. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from UBC, followed by his Masters of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Using his strong scientific background, Michael has managed over 100 remediation sites in British Columbia, New York State and the Yukon. He has been involved in numerous habitat restoration projects in BC. Since 2015, Michael has exclusively managed Sumas’ contaminated soil division through our sister company Sumas Environmental Services Inc., handling the bioremediation of hazardous waste soils, undertaking environmental evaluations and preparing technical reports. Water Treatment Division, Operations Manager – Andrew Barnes Andrew is the Operations Manager of our Water Treatment Division. With a degree in business administration, as well as years of working on the technical side of the water treatment team, Andrew is able to assist clients in implementing cost-effective waste water treatment systems that are engineered to accommodate fluctuations in contamination and flow.
