Tissue paper is light paper, also known as crepe paper, made from the recycled pulp of paper and other substances. It is most commonly distinguished in its softness and its fabric-like texture. The manufacturing process for tissue papers differs only slightly from the manufacturing process of other types of papers. It is processed through the same pulping, pressing and conversion processes as regular paper with only minor modifications. Three Main Tissue Paper Machine Processing Points: Pulping The trees are cut into pieces, and then ground into fine flakes that are then soaked and removed (retted). Paper pulp is produced by reusing wood fibre or other materials. The process of mixing these fine retted flakes the mixer tank, along with a significant amount of water as well as other chemicals, creates. It is placed on the core, and then rolled to create an enormous diameter roll. Depending on your goals, the speed at which you draw the roll and you can obtain a thinner or thicker tissue. After that, the rolls get positioned on the tissue paper machine for conversion. Converting The tissue is removed, and the plies are separated and then pushed by an embossing machine. Embossed toilet tissue softens and is a great way to make patterns. The plies are then removed and joined with glue. After that, the tissue gets perforated using doctor blades that allow the sheets to be separated. The tissue is then formed into flat surfaces or wrapped around an aluminum tube to make a cylindrical roll. A variety of roll sizes sheets and sizes are created on winding machines. The entire roll is then fed into a doctoring machine and is cut by a huge rotating doctor blade into smaller rolls. Properties of Tissue Paper The main characteristics that tissue papers are absorption, basis weight, brightness, thickness, volume and aesthetics. The ability to adjust these properties makes it effective in various applications, including packaging and hygiene. Uses of Tissue Paper Tissue papers are available in a variety of dimensions and textures.
