What started out as a side gig buying and selling surplus military tires, has now transformed into a top-of-the-line wheel manufacturing company! The business was started out of a shop built by John's grandfather, where John bought and sold surplus military tires and modified semi-wheels for other applications. As he got busier, he added a few guys here and there in the shop to keep up with the workload. He even had his brother in the shop starting in 2004, learning the ropes. Since then, we have expanded to nearly 16,000 sq ft of shop space! We continue to be a family-run company! John's dad is there every day keeping the shop in check while his wife handles the books! Even his kids are involved! His middle daughter is learning how to run the CNC machines and his oldest daughter is the voice on the other end of the line when you call! Over the years, Stazworks has greatly evolved in what we offer and how we manufacture wheels. Up until 2018, the machining on all of our wheel setups was done on manual machines. Then in November of 2018, we got our first CNC lathe. This was a game-changer! We now have several CNC machines in addition to all of our manual equipment! As for the military tires that started it all, Stazworks still offers select tires! We have put countless hours (and dollars) into learning more about them and finding ways to combat the issues people tend to have with runout, balancing, etc. That is how we ended up with a heavy-duty match force balancer and a tire-shaving machine! Over the last 22 years, we have spoken with, met with, and become friends with some really great people in the industry! Thank you to all of our customers past, present, and future!
